SlugFest! 2022

SlugFest is for the players in the Continental, National, American, or Major League.

As indicated on our Key Dates, SlugFest 2022 is scheduled for Saturday, May 14th.

Regarding the day of SlugFest:

Here is the 2022 Schedule. Those teams in a Red Font will be batting on a field that is different from their regular field. Your team's slot has been loaded into GameChanger.

Each team will bat together. However, if a player is unable to bat during their scheduled time, there will be a small availability of time between teams, simply inform the announcer upon your arrival to be added to the end of the session.
While waiting to bat, players will be distanced between one of the dugouts and the bleachers next to that dugout.
After batting, the player will take their glove and stand in the outfield to retrieve the balls for the next player.

The team's Coaching Staff will staff the batting session for their team as follows:
- One volunteer to announce (in the dugout)
- One volunteer to record the scores (in the dugout)
- One volunteer to score the hit (on the field)
- One volunteer to feed the pitching machine (on the field)

Need Parent/Guardian Help:
During the time your player is batting, the announcer (usually their coach) can talk about the player’s likes, dislikes, funny facts, etc. A sound system will be set up so a phone can be plugged in to play music, such as the player's favorite song - we find that adds to the fun. Please have your player fill out the following questionnaire to help the day: Click here to answer some questions about your player.

Regarding Donations:
We are excited to report teams will be able to collect donations on State Street again (starting 4/25)! We will also have online donations available via credit, debit, PayPal, or Venmo. On April 25th, we will send another email with shareable links for online donations, as well as slots for teams to collect at the Plum Street Mall. These will also be placed on our website and Facebook page.

You will be able to forward the email (about online donations) to your family and friends, which will increase your child's donations. On the donation site, there will be a field in which you can enter your player's name.

Donations will be accepted from Monday, April 25 through Saturday, May 22.
